At Lifepointe, serving is about more than filling a position. Ministry readiness helps us care for people well and build spiritually healthy teams.

These timeframes are minimum guidelines, not automatic qualifications for placement. Completing Growth Track or reaching a certain length of attendance does not guarantee placement on a Ministry Team.
Spiritual maturity, character, consistency, church involvement, doctrinal alignment, and ministry-specific requirements are also considered. Training, interviews, or background checks may be required.
Ministry placement remains subject to pastoral approval. Leadership may extend preparation, recommend another team, or determine that someone is not presently ready for a particular role.
Serving can be the beginning of a greater journey of leadership. Responsibility should grow alongside spiritual maturity, faithfulness, trust, and preparation.
LifeGroup leadership generally requires at least one year of active attendance, completion of Growth Track, faithful Ministry Team involvement, LifeGroup Leader Training, and pastoral approval.
Ministry leadership generally requires at least one year of active attendance, completion of Growth Track, demonstrated spiritual maturity and faithfulness, leadership development through The Table, and pastoral recommendation and approval.
Deacons must meet the applicable requirements of church membership and active attendance, demonstrate the biblical qualifications in 1 Timothy 3, and be elected according to church bylaws.
Church Board members must meet the applicable membership and attendance requirements, demonstrate biblical qualifications, faithful stewardship, spiritual maturity, and doctrinal alignment, and be elected according to church bylaws.
Leadership is not based solely on length of attendance. All positions remain subject to church bylaws, appropriate ministry requirements, and pastoral discernment.
